Flow
Arusha to Tarangire. Full-day game drive along the river. Overnight near the park.
West through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with an Olduvai Gorge stop, into the Serengeti. Afternoon game drive.
Full Serengeti day in the sector where the migration is currently concentrated, the southern Ndutu plains (Dec–Mar, calving), the western corridor and Grumeti (May–Jun, rutting and river crossings), or the northern Kogatende and Mara River (Jul–Oct, the great crossings). Optional dawn balloon flight.
Second full migration day, following the herds with a guide in radio contact with the camp network, plus the resident predators that shadow them: lion, cheetah, spotted hyena and, at the rivers, very large crocodile.
Morning Serengeti game drive, then transfer east to the Ngorongoro rim.
Early crater descent for a full day on the floor, black rhino, lion, elephant and flamingo, then the return to Arusha.
