Depart Windhoek and drive south-west through the Khomas Hochland and the Spreetshoogte or Remhoogte Pass into the Namib. Arrive at the lodge near Sesriem for lunch. Afternoon at Sesriem Canyon and sundowners from a dune ridge.

Pre-dawn park entry. Dune 45 at sunrise, then Sossusvlei and the walk into Deadvlei beneath Big Daddy. Picnic breakfast in the dunes. Optional scenic flight or hot-air balloon over the Namib Sand Sea (supplement). Afternoon at leisure or a guided desert nature drive for the Namib's endemic flora and the fairy circles.

Optional sunrise balloon flight with a champagne breakfast, or a final dune walk. Drive back to Windhoek, arriving mid-afternoon.
