Morning departure from Victoria Falls by road to Hwange. En route, a guided visit to the Painted Dog Conservation Centre at Dete, the interpretive centre, the rehabilitation facility and the anti-snare and Iganyana children's bush-camp programmes, with a resident conservationist explaining why the African wild dog is the continent's second-most endangered large carnivore. Lunch at the lodge. Afternoon game drive to the waterholes and sundowners on a pan.

Full day in Hwange with a morning and an afternoon game drive and a siesta over lunch. The guide works the known wild-dog denning areas and the pumped pans of the Main Camp and Ngamo/Kennedy sectors. Optional walking safari with an armed professional guide (season and camp dependent). Evening at a floodlit waterhole.

Final dawn game drive with coffee in the bush, then brunch and the road transfer back to Victoria Falls, arriving mid-afternoon. Optional Zambezi sunset cruise on arrival (add-on).
