Both of you are fitted into full body harnesses and the crew set the tandem rig, which links you to a single rope. Combined weight is checked, because it changes the drop and the arc. The crew brief you together so you both hear the same count.

You are walked to the launch point and positioned together. The practical difference from the solo swing is that you have to go at the same moment, which most pairs find makes it easier rather than harder.

A true freefall first, then the rope loads and swings you both out across the gorge in a long pendulum. A tandem carries more weight than a solo run, so the swing is correspondingly longer and heavier through the bottom of the arc.

You are winched back up to the rim together and unclipped at the top. Photography is available. Couples, siblings and anyone talking each other into it tend to book this one.

Frequently asked questions

For domestic flights, arrive 1.5 hours before departure. For international flights, arrive 2-3 hours early. The airports are relatively small but can get busy during peak tourist seasons. Check-in counters typically open 2 hours before flight time.

Yes, October is excellent! Water levels are moderate, the spray isn't overwhelming, weather is warm (25-35°C), and Devil's Pool is usually accessible. It's less crowded than peak season and offers good value for money.

September offers excellent conditions: Water flow is reduced enough for clear views, weather is warm and dry, Devil's Pool opens (usually mid-August to January), and it's shoulder season with fewer crowds. Perfect for photography and activities.

November can be challenging: Early rains begin, water flow increases creating heavy spray (the "smoke"), and humidity rises. However, the falls are powerful and green, temperatures are warm (25-30°C), and it's less crowded than peak season.
