Itinerary
You are fitted into a full body harness and the crew run through the system: the anchor, the rope, the swing arc and the recovery. The brief is short because the activity is short. The crew will tell you plainly what the first two seconds feel like.
You are walked to the launch point on the gorge rim. There is no platform theatre here, just the edge, the rock wall opposite and the river below. You can step off or be counted down. Both are normal and the crew will not push you.
The first phase is a genuine vertical drop, not a swing, and that is what makes this one different from a zip line. The rope then loads and you sweep out in a long arc across the gorge, swinging back and forth with the walls moving past on either side.
Once the swing settles you are winched back up the gorge face to the rim. Tandem runs are available if you would rather not do the first second on your own, and are booked as a separate product.

Victoria Falls International Airport (VFA) serves the Zimbabwe side and Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International Airport (LVI) serves Livingstone, Zambia. Both have basic facilities including currency exchange, car rentals, and transfers to hotels. VFA has recently been upgraded with improved terminals and amenities.
For domestic flights, arrive 1.5 hours before departure. For international flights, arrive 2-3 hours early. The airports are relatively small but can get busy during peak tourist seasons. Check-in counters typically open 2 hours before flight time.
Yes, October is excellent! Water levels are moderate, the spray isn't overwhelming, weather is warm (25-35°C), and Devil's Pool is usually accessible. It's less crowded than peak season and offers good value for money.
September offers excellent conditions: Water flow is reduced enough for clear views, weather is warm and dry, Devil's Pool opens (usually mid-August to January), and it's shoulder season with fewer crowds. Perfect for photography and activities.
November can be challenging: Early rains begin, water flow increases creating heavy spray (the "smoke"), and humidity rises. However, the falls are powerful and green, temperatures are warm (25-30°C), and it's less crowded than peak season.
