You are fitted into a harness that suspends you horizontally rather than upright, which is what gives this activity its name and its feel. The crew explain the position: face down, arms out, look ahead rather than down.
You run off the edge rather than step off it, and the line takes you immediately. Because the cable is close to level there is no stomach drop, so people who have ruled out the bungee and the swing can usually do this one comfortably.
A smooth flight straight out over the gorge, flying rather than falling, with the Zambezi below and an uninterrupted view down the length of the Batoka Gorge. Short, but the clearest view of the gorge of any of the cable activities.
You are brought in at the far side, unclipped and walked back. Often booked as the first activity of a combination day, because it settles the nerves before the swing or the bungee.

Victoria Falls International Airport (VFA) serves the Zimbabwe side and Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International Airport (LVI) serves Livingstone, Zambia. Both have basic facilities including currency exchange, car rentals, and transfers to hotels. VFA has recently been upgraded with improved terminals and amenities.
Zimbabwe side: VFA (Victoria Falls International Airport). Zambia side: LVI (Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International Airport, Livingstone). These codes are used for flight bookings and airport identification.
The Zimbabwe side offers: 75% of the viewpoints, better panoramic views, the main falls viewpoint, Devil's Cataract, Danger Point, and excellent photography spots. The town has more infrastructure, shops, and restaurants. Entrance: $30 for international visitors.
It depends: Zimbabwe has more viewpoints and better overall views. Zambia offers unique experiences like Devil's Pool and closer waterfall access. Most visitors recommend seeing both sides if possible. Zimbabwe is better for first-time visitors wanting comprehensive views.
Zimbabwe side weather: Similar to Zambia but slightly hotter in summer. January-March: 25-30°C with rain. April-June: 15-25°C, dry. July-September: 10-25°C, cool nights. October-December: 25-35°C, becoming rainy. The microclimate near the falls is always humid.
