Harness, helmet and a double-clip lanyard system, which is what lets you move between platforms safely. Guides explain the clip discipline, because on a canopy circuit you move yourself between anchor points rather than being clipped on once.

The first slides are short and low, deliberately, so everyone gets the hang of the trolley and the braking before the circuit opens out towards the gorge rim.

The route alternates between zip lines and suspended walkways through the forest canopy, with the gorge opening up on one side and the Zambezi visible below. Guides stop at viewpoints and talk through the geology and the birdlife.

The circuit closes with the longest slides of the course, then a short walk back to base. Suitable for families and for anyone who wants height and views without a freefall.

Frequently asked questions

For domestic flights, arrive 1.5 hours before departure. For international flights, arrive 2-3 hours early. The airports are relatively small but can get busy during peak tourist seasons. Check-in counters typically open 2 hours before flight time.

Yes, October is excellent! Water levels are moderate, the spray isn't overwhelming, weather is warm (25-35°C), and Devil's Pool is usually accessible. It's less crowded than peak season and offers good value for money.

September offers excellent conditions: Water flow is reduced enough for clear views, weather is warm and dry, Devil's Pool opens (usually mid-August to January), and it's shoulder season with fewer crowds. Perfect for photography and activities.

November can be challenging: Early rains begin, water flow increases creating heavy spray (the "smoke"), and humidity rises. However, the falls are powerful and green, temperatures are warm (25-30°C), and it's less crowded than peak season.
