Depart Johannesburg north-east through the Highveld to the Mpumalanga escarpment. Afternoon at the gold-rush town of Pilgrim's Rest and the Graskop Gorge lift.
Panorama Route, God's Window, the Lisbon and Berlin Falls, Bourke's Luck Potholes, and the Three Rondavels viewpoint over the Blyde River Canyon, the third-largest canyon in the world and the largest green canyon anywhere. Optional Blyde Dam boat cruise.
Descend into the lowveld and enter Kruger or a private reserve. Afternoon open-vehicle game drive and a night drive.
Full safari day, dawn drive, brunch, siesta, afternoon and night drive, with an optional guided bush walk with an armed ranger.
Second full safari day in a different sector, working for leopard, wild dog and the big buffalo herds along the Sabie River.
Final dawn game drive and breakfast, then the drive or flight back to Johannesburg, arriving late afternoon.
