Registered mountain crew (guide, assistant guides, cook, porters); park, rescue and camping/hut fees; all meals and drinking water on the mountain; group climbing and camping equipment; pre- and post-trek hotel night; airport transfers; oximeter monitoring twice daily.
Best season: Jan–Mar and Jun–Oct are the recommended climbing windows. Avoid the long rains of Apr–May and the short rains of Nov. Full-moon summit nights are magnificent and book out early.
Pace and grading: Demanding. Marangu is the shortest and least expensive route but has the lowest summit success rate because of the fast ascent profile. Requires good cardiovascular fitness and prior hill-walking experience. Compulsory insurance covering 6,000 m.
Ideal for: First-time trekkers, clients who want hut accommodation rather than tents, budget-conscious climbers, charity-challenge groups.

February has maximum water flow: The falls are at their most powerful with incredible spray (the "smoke that thunders"). Views may be obscured by mist, but the experience is dramatic. Temperatures are warm (25-30°C) with occasional rain.

The bridge was built from both sides simultaneously, meeting perfectly in the middle. Construction took 14 months (1904-1905) using steel shipped from England. The arch was assembled on falsework and then dropped into place - a remarkable engineering feat for its time.
Victoria Falls Bridge was completed in 1905 as part of Cecil Rhodes' Cape to Cairo railway vision. It spans 198 meters across the Zambezi Gorge, 128 meters above the river. Designed by Sir Ralph Freeman, it's a steel arch bridge used for rail, road, and foot traffic.
Zimbabwe side weather: Similar to Zambia but slightly hotter in summer. January-March: 25-30°C with rain. April-June: 15-25°C, dry. July-September: 10-25°C, cool nights. October-December: 25-35°C, becoming rainy. The microclimate near the falls is always humid.
It depends: Zimbabwe has more viewpoints and better overall views. Zambia offers unique experiences like Devil's Pool and closer waterfall access. Most visitors recommend seeing both sides if possible. Zimbabwe is better for first-time visitors wanting comprehensive views.
