The night is spent at Travel Lodge in Kasane, in a standard room on a sharing basis, close to the Chobe riverfront and the park gate.
The accommodation is what separates this itinerary from the one-day Chobe safari, and it is what the difference in price covers.
Meals at the lodge beyond the buffet lunch on Day 1 are arranged directly with the lodge and are not included in the tour price.
Single occupancy is available and is quoted on request, as the rate above is based on two people sharing a standard room.
After check-out you are transferred back to your starting point: your Kasane hotel, or across the Kazungula border to Victoria Falls if that is where the trip began. Your passport is needed again for the crossing.
The morning itself is free. A second river cruise, another Chobe game drive or a Kasane village visit can be added at extra cost, and is arranged when you book rather than on the day, because park entry and boat seats have to be confirmed in advance.
Transfer timing is set around your onward flight or your next activity, so say when you book what you need to connect with.

Both have basic facilities including currency exchange, car rentals, and transfers to hotels. VFA has recently been upgraded with improved terminals and amenities.
For domestic flights, arrive 1.5 hours before departure. For international flights, arrive 2-3 hours early. The airports are relatively small but can get busy during peak tourist seasons. Check-in counters typically open 2 hours before flight time.
The best time depends on your priorities: February-May for maximum water flow, September-December for Devil's Pool access and clearer views, or April-June for pleasant weather with moderate water flow. Avoid November if you want clear photos as spray can be heavy.
Yes, October is excellent! Water levels are moderate, the spray isn't overwhelming, weather is warm (25-35°C), and Devil's Pool is usually accessible. It's less crowded than peak season and offers good value for money.
September offers excellent conditions: Water flow is reduced enough for clear views, weather is warm and dry, Devil's Pool opens (usually mid-August to January), and it's shoulder season with fewer crowds. Perfect for photography and activities.
