Morning departure from Arusha to Tarangire National Park. Full-day game drive with a picnic lunch along the Tarangire River, where the dry season concentrates enormous elephant herds among ancient baobabs. Lion, leopard, giraffe, and the localised fringe-eared oryx and gerenuk. Afternoon drive and sundowners. Dinner and overnight at a lodge or tented camp.
Dawn game drive towards the Silale Swamp for elephant, buffalo and the park's tree-climbing lions; optional guided walking safari on a private concession bordering the park. Brunch, then return to Arusha by mid-afternoon.
