You can walk the Falls trail on your own, but a guide changes what you see. They know which viewpoint is clearest at that time of day, what the water is doing that season, and the story behind each part of the Falls. They also handle the logistics, which matters on a short trip.

Pickup and the start

Airport or hotel, then the park

The tour includes airport pickup, or you are collected from your hotel or lodge, with pickups at 8:00 or 14:00. It is a short drive, five to ten minutes, to Victoria Falls National Park, where you meet your professional guide at the entrance for a safety briefing.

The walk and the five viewpoints

1.7 km along the cliff edge

The trail runs along the cliff edge for about 1.7 km, and you stop at each viewpoint for photographs and the story behind it:

Devil's Cataract, the widest section with the most powerful flow.
Main Falls, the classic view and the best for wide-angle shots.
Rainbow Falls, where you see rainbows on sunny days.
Danger Point, where you look straight down into the gorge.
Eastern Cataract, the final viewpoint on this side.

The Big Tree

A stop on the way back

After the Falls walk, the tour stops at the Big Tree, a towering baobab estimated to be more than 1,000 years old, for photographs before the transfer back.

From $101 per person

The guided Victoria Falls tour starts from $101 per person and includes airport pickup, transfers to the activity, the Big Tree stop and bottled water. It is a half-day tour, so it fits around other plans.

Park entrance fees are paid separately on the day: $50 for international visitors, $20 regional and $7 local. Bring comfortable shoes, your passport or ID, and a raincoat if you are visiting in high water season.
