You are met at Victoria Falls Airport and driven about 20 minutes to your hotel or lodge. After check-in there is time to rest before the first activity.

Day two: the Falls and a game drive
The main event, then the bush
The morning is the guided tour of the Falls on the Zimbabwean side, where the path runs along the rainforest opposite the full width of the Falls, about 1.7 km of falling water. Allow two to three hours, and expect spray: in high water season you will get wet.
In the late afternoon the itinerary moves into Zambezi National Park for a three-hour game drive in a 4x4. The package also includes a visit to the Big Tree, a baobab estimated to be more than 1,000 years old and one of the best-known photo stops near the town.

Day three: departure, or one more activity
How to use the last morning
The last day is breakfast, checkout and the transfer back to the airport. If your flight is in the afternoon, the morning is free for something short. The Bamba Tram runs early out onto the Victoria Falls Bridge, and a helicopter flight over the Falls takes 12 to 13 minutes in the air.

When to go
High water and low water
The Falls change through the year. In the high water months, typically from around March to May, the spray can rise so high that the view is hidden in mist, and the walk is a soaking. In the low water months later in the year you see more of the rock face and the gorge, and the Zambian side can run thin.
There is no bad month to visit, only a different Falls. If seeing the full curtain of water matters most, aim for the middle of the year; if you want clear photographs and Devil's Pool, go later. Exact levels vary each year, so ask us for the current picture before you book.
