Trip breakdown
Flow
Touch down, meet your ride, and glide straight to your lodge—Livingstone or Victoria Falls style. Skip the fuss, start the adventure, and let the vibes hit first!
Kick off at 07:20 with a sunrise game drive where the wild comes alive! Elephants amble, lions lounge, and zebras strut. Cameras click, hearts race, and every turn brings a new safari thrill. Nature’s drama, front-row seats, and memories that roar louder than the savannah!
By 08:40, step into safari legend with a White Rhino Walk! Feel the ground tremble, snap epic photos, and get face-to-face with these majestic giants—safari thrills, adrenaline, and brag-worthy moments all rolled into one.
Cruise back to the lodge in style, soaking up scenic vistas and winding landscapes. Optional adventures await, but the views alone are worth the ride—nature’s beauty on full display!
Before you go
The best time depends on your priorities: February-May for maximum water flow, September-December for Devil's Pool access and clearer views, or April-June for pleasant weather with moderate water flow. Avoid November if you want clear photos as spray can be heavy.
September offers excellent conditions: Water flow is reduced enough for clear views, weather is warm and dry, Devil's Pool opens (usually mid-August to January), and it's shoulder season with fewer crowds. Perfect for photography and activities.
January is peak rainy season: Maximum water flow creates incredible power but heavy spray can obscure views. Temperatures are hot (25-30°C) with frequent afternoon thunderstorms. Some activities may be limited due to high water levels.
June offers cool, dry conditions: Water flow is moderate, temperatures are comfortable (10-25°C) with cool nights, and visibility is good. It's low season with fewer crowds and good hotel rates. Bring warm clothing for evenings.
The Zimbabwe side offers: 75% of the viewpoints, better panoramic views, the main falls viewpoint, Devil's Cataract, Danger Point, and excellent photography spots. The town has more infrastructure, shops, and restaurants. Entrance: $30 for international visitors.
Professional images: National Geographic, travel magazines, tourism board websites. Free images: Wikimedia Commons, Unsplash, tourism websites. Best perspectives: Aerial shots, rainbow photos, dry season rock formations, and full moon "moonbow" images.
