A slow ride onto a famous bridge
The Bamba Tram is a short tram run from the Victoria Falls side out onto the Victoria Falls Bridge, the steel arch that has linked Zimbabwe and Zambia across the Batoka Gorge since 1905. The carriages are open-sided, so the views are clear in both directions.
It is not an adrenaline activity. It is the opposite: an early, unhurried way to stand on the bridge with the gorge falling away beneath you, and one of the few Falls activities that suits every age.

The sunrise run, step by step
Boarding to the return
You board at the station at the Victoria Falls end. Departure is early, which means cool air and the best light of the day.
The tram runs slowly out onto the bridge and stops on the span. The Batoka Gorge drops away on both sides, and the spray of the Falls upstream is usually catching the sunrise. There is time on the bridge to photograph the gorge, the river below and the bungee platform at the centre, while your guide talks through how the bridge was built and its place on the Cape to Cairo route. Then the tram runs back to the station.
