Cape Town

About this place

Cape Town is a 3-4 day stop on most safari itineraries. Table Mountain rises from the city centre, the wineries of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek are 45 minutes inland, and the Cape Peninsula drive south to the Cape of Good Hope passes penguins at Boulders Beach. November to March is high summer; June to August is cooler but is whale-watching season at Hermanus.
