Flow
The journey begins with a comfortable transfer from your hotel in Botswana,Zambia, or the Victoria Falls airport . Upon arriving in Zimbabwe, you will be warmly greeted by a knowledgeable Zimbabwean guide who will accompany you throughout the day.
Cross into Zimbabwe and explore the Victoria Falls Rainforest with a local guide. Your first stop is the Victoria Falls Rainforest, where a guided walk along well-maintained pathways reveals breathtaking viewpoints of the falls from multiple angles. The sheer power and scale of the cascading water, especially during the rainy season when the spray rises hundreds of metres into the air, is an experience that defies description.
Pause at the ancient baobab for a memorable photograph; On route to the rainforest, there will be an opportunity to stop at the famous 'Big Tree,' a magnificent baobab estimated to be over a thousand years old, for a memorable photo opportunity.
After the rainforest tour, guests visit the vibrant open-air curio market, where local artisans sell handcrafted souvenirs, jewellery, and artwork — a wonderful chance to pick up unique gifts and support local craftspeople.
Enjoy a scenic meal overlooking the Zambezi River. Lunch is served at the renowned Lookout Café, perched high above the Zambezi River with sweeping panoramic views.
After a relaxed meal, the afternoon continues with a township tour that offers an authentic glimpse into local Zimbabwean life and culture. The day concludes with a return transfer to your designated drop-off points.
Our driver guide will escort you back to your designated dropoff point.
Before you go
Victoria Falls International Airport (VFA) serves the Zimbabwe side and Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International Airport (LVI) serves Livingstone, Zambia. Both have basic facilities including currency exchange, car rentals, and transfers to hotels. VFA has recently been upgraded with improved terminals and amenities.
For domestic flights, arrive 1.5 hours before departure. For international flights, arrive 2-3 hours early. The airports are relatively small but can get busy during peak tourist seasons. Check-in counters typically open 2 hours before flight time.
The best time depends on your priorities: February-May for maximum water flow, September-December for Devil's Pool access and clearer views, or April-June for pleasant weather with moderate water flow. Avoid November if you want clear photos as spray can be heavy.
Yes, October is excellent! Water levels are moderate, the spray isn't overwhelming, weather is warm (25-35°C), and Devil's Pool is usually accessible. It's less crowded than peak season and offers good value for money.
September offers excellent conditions: Water flow is reduced enough for clear views, weather is warm and dry, Devil's Pool opens (usually mid-August to January), and it's shoulder season with fewer crowds. Perfect for photography and activities.
